HI! I’m Tyler.
I’m glad you’re here!
(It was gettin’ lonely.)
I’m a social media manager, marketer and ghostwriter who’s…
Finally making his OWN CONTENT!
Originally, I had NO website, NO resume, NO social media for my services.
Instead, I did solid work for others within a tightknit community.
(Sometimes, that’s ALL you need…)
I’ve decided to write The Green Gambit as I begin to grow through my new TikTok and Discord.
While I simultaneously start to grow my YouTube, IG, X and FB!
(I don’t recommend this to newer solopreneurs!)
The Green Gambit is a culmination of what I’m learning as a Solopreneur.
I’m documenting my growth!
(Thank you to my 1 YT Subscriber, 40+ X followers, 150+ IG and 500+ FB followers!)
For all to share and use.
Branding, marketing, writing, graphic design, social media, mindset, self-improvement and so MUCH more!
I wish I had this during the beginning of my journey.
I hope it serves you on yours!
It’ll be a resource connected to a community! (My Discord group).
Now, without further ado…
…on to the stuff.
01-04: Free Solopreneur Resources and Content Creation Mindset (LOVE)

01: Please read this newsletter when you’re not busy.
Get your study utensils out. Can’t now?
Wait until you can. We’re gettin’ into it, my friend.
(My further editions won’t be this lengthy.)
I write to you, ___ , happy and weary.
(It’s not you, it’s me.)
They inspire me with their resources for those starting out:
Gary (Vee) Vaynerchuk
Gary helps frame your SOCIAL MEDIA journey.
(content, engagement, how to start, why you need to be on socials, etc.)
Free readthroughs of AUDIOBOOKS by Gary available on YouTube⬇
(at the time I write this)
Crushing it!
&
The Thank You Economy
(He doesn’t care HOW you read it. Quoted saying: “dark web, BitTorrent, I don't care”.)Alex Hormozi (+Leila)
Changed the game with free business guides.
He has AUDIOBOOKS read by himself, for free, on his podcast.
Podcast: “The Game”
Book Episodes: “$100M Offers” and “$100M Leads”.Dan Koe
My secret to solopreneurship:
(As well as social media growth, writing, branding, marketing, etc!)
ALL his videos are PACKED with actionable advice.
Favorites to get started:
“Justin Welsh Shows You How To Start & Grow A One-Person Business” - Rewatch this again farther along your journey. I got a lot more out of it just now compared to my first watch.
“Dan Koe & Dickie Bush On One-Person Businesses, Creative Workflows, and Lifestyle Design”
(The fishing story about starting, is SO CLUTCH.)
“How To Make Money As A Creative On The Internet”
“How to Build An Audience With Zero Followers (What They Don’t Tell You)” - Excellent video on social media growth.Justin Welsh.
(“If there was a Yin to Alex/Leila’s Yang...”)
I saw him on Starter Story, and his interview inspired me.
(One man business with over 90% profit margins?!)
Visited his top tier website about solopreneurship, and I initially couldn’t understand how it was free.
(I do now, and you will too.)
A strong example of the “Creator Economy”.
(He doesn’t have a personal YT.)
Again a 93-5%* profit margin rate and runs a one person no code business worth millions.

Here’s his interviews.Alex Colhoun (1 more Alex!)
Similar to Justin!
Tons of free and actionable newsletter content (have to subscribe).
But unlike him…
An active Discord that he participates in!
All FREE resources.
(Watching videos not your speed? That's cool.)
02: I have water, but how do I drink it?“I know WHAT to do, but it doesn’t mean I know HOW.”
For business and content, Alex Hormozi says:
Give away the secrets, sell the implementation.
It feels weird.
“My competition will steal all of my knowledge and use it against me!”
“I’ll die!”
Guess what?
It doesn’t help us to be worried about other’s progress. It’s ours we control.
90-99% of people WON’T take ACTION, BUT if they do…?
They’ll LOVE me for being a helpful resource.
(You… want them to “steal” your knowledge. I’d be alienating my readers if I kept it to myself! But if you’re STILL concerned…)
Non-doers tell themselves the lie* OR they say:
“I will eventually”, and engage.
[*”The lie” is a story people tell themselves after exposure to another story.
— Seth Godin, “All Marketers are Liars”]
(“If he can transform himself, I can too!” It doesn’t really MEAN it’s a lie, it’s more of the story we’re all telling ourselves in our heads.)
If you’re still worried:
You need a different W.
Don’t worry about these people, WORK WITH THEM!
(Inspire them! Help them! Be a resource!)
03: I don’t need to position as an expert. Learners and students can just get into the game!
While I’m learning, feedback from an audience or from myself via iteration… is only helpful.
You could do without, but why?
For example: Going viral with a first or a random video. Unless you know what you’re doing, it’s difficult to be consistent.
I’m not trying to get a mass amount of followers, just the right one’s.
Reminds me of Nathan Barry’s (ConvertKit creator) 3 rules to GROWING YOUR AUDIENCE:
Create everyday.
Teach everything you know.
Work in public.
Connects wonderfully to:
Document, don’t create.
Gary says this a ton. (Here’s the most recent.)
My variation is:
If you CAN or WANT to *CREATE, DO.
*Creating defined as the difficult process of creating original content. More later.
If you’re like: “Okay, ‘create’… now what? How?”
Using the “document” mindset, Gary’s actionable step is to search, “how to do green screen newspaper headline videos”, and make one.
Choose an article or headline* related to your industry or interest… and share a thought!
(timestamped, *Gary Vee’s YouTube video: “Content Creation Tactics for 2024.”)
Content via documenting your thoughts.
04: EXAMPLES - WHO am I studying?
An awesome artist on Instagram, @june.psb: Posted an IG story timelapse of her art.
(If you’re a video editor, or have an editing process, you can do this!)
Talk about what you’re doing, not what you’re going to do.
Here's Beehiiv’s own Dane Miller, (@itsdanemiller) documenting on X what they’re doing.

YouTuber Dora documented her channels 1 year anniversary + amount of subscribers she had at the time in her video titled:
“how YouTube is changing my life (with less than 500 subscribers) | tips for introverts”
Started at 180 when she made the video. By the time I’m writing this?

180 subscribers to 5.4k is proof people want to be part of her journey.
(So they can advance on theirs.)
Her views also increased!
“I subscribed because I’m under 500 subscribers and I want to know what to do or why it’s worth it!”
I know this, because my channel (on Feb 7th, 2024) has below 500, and I, too, want to know how to one day have a successful channel.
It’ll be a success if I’ve helped people!
Do you see?
Everyone who wants to get something out of it, will.

“IT’S WORTH IT!”
(remember the thumbnail)
She documented! (with a story!) and guess what?
The title:
“How YouTube is changing my life (with less than 500 subscribers) | etc”
Is quite popular.

Why?
People see themselves in you.
I’m definitely not the first person to say that.
But I did say this:
I, too, want to one day have such a successful channel.
So, in conclusion…
Those people that helped me get started?
Can help you get started, too.
